Aladey pasta is made in Paramaribo with flour from De Molen — Suriname's only wheat mill and our sister company, just down the street. Three familiar shapes, made right here for the way Surinamese kitchens cook.

Why local pasta

The flour does not cross an ocean.

  • Wheat milled in Suriname

    De Molen has been milling flour in Paramaribo since 1965. It travels one street to reach us, not one continent.

  • Made and packed here

    The pasta is extruded and dried at Bowlingstraat 18, then packed in the same building. From flour to finished pack, it all happens right here in Paramaribo.

  • From production to shelf, faster

    A shorter journey means less time in transit and a faster route to the shelf. It also gives us greater control over our supply, from production to packaging.

The newest thing we make is not pasta at all. Aladey Cassava Fries are made from Surinamese cassava instead of potato: crisp outside, soft and creamy inside, gluten-free and ready in about six minutes.
